Lost
Songs from the Lost Years --- 2002
The
recordings on this CD document the evolution of Cloud
Cult's art from the teen years (early 90s) up until
2002. For any Cloud Cult fan, this album is a must.
"Lost Songs from the Lost Years" contains
an archive of previously unreleased closet recordings
that, until now, have literally been locked away in
cardboard boxes.
Serving
as a sort of documentary, made up of audio snapshots
taken over an 11 year period, this album is digitally
remastered for CD, but preserves the original live recording
studio quirks, including buzz, hiss, chuckles, grunts,
coughs and random mumblings. "Lost Songs from the
Lost Years" documents everything from the artist's
early days, recording with a tape player in his childhood
bedroom's closet, through his college years, writing
music with hand built electronics, an array of kitchen
utensils, and instruments donated by friends. --Note:
This album takes the place of Cloud Cult's"Shade
Project" which is permanently sold out.
