Each
work of art is a ritual. Every color is an emotion. Pixels
and paint are an ambient rhythm flowing between worlds. No
work is ever complete, only complimented by the next work
– this is why I consider each work a single page in
a continuous story of growth. A ritual. A drum beat of kinetic
lines that evolve and narrate the creative process.
My personal growth comes through the process of making art.
There is no better way to feel alive than to let go and let
the creative process wash over you and take control, where
you are merely a vessel for some larger power to speak through.
The final work is a small piece of this process, a small reflection
of self, a small shoot of growth where the process is equal
to the end product. I am never complete; the places I inhabit
are never complete. I am an abstract palette of colors that
looks for a place to rest.
We all look to connect – with one another, with ourselves,
with a process that links us to greater understanding of our
environment. I am inspired by the creativity of people, and
am driven by works that force me to feel and look at the world
from a different perspective. I see creative expression all
around us . We are all taught at an early age to conform,
to let go of fantasy, to grow up. There are those among us
that have seen the destructive nature of this path and revolted,
sometimes secretly, sometimes in the open. Pure creative genius
is a playground game with rules that change. Some of us choose
to stay and nurture this environment. To us, it is a ritual
with seasons. A ritual with texture. A ritual where we grow
as tall as our weeds.
